pre-selling UKC APBT pups

Hi Russel,

A number of APBT breeders in my country are supposedly UKC-registered. I'm interested to buy a female pup. How will I know that these are really UKC-registered? What may i ask from these breeders (documents, UKC registration numbers, etc.) for proof, without necessarily arousing their suspicion?

Also, what paper should i get upon purchase of the pup (litter ticket)? What are the fees?

thanks

You can ask to see the Application for Permanent Registration on the pup. You can also ask to see the parent's UKC Permanent Registration Certificates.

The breeder should sign over the Application for Permanent Registration to you once you purchase the pup.

The fee for the permanent registration for a dog under 1 year of age is $16.00.
