He said that the national health care would be paid for partially by eliminating waste in the systen that we have right now.
I would like to ask him what he has done to eliminate that waste so far?
And then I would like to tell him that if he eliminated ALL the waste in all of the government systems , we could pay for it and still have money left over !

I'd have a beer with him, and would love the opportunity to talk about life with him...and to explain what people like us on here are all about. The major problem with Obama, I feel, is that he has no idea what the average American way of life is. He was born in Hawaii....then grew up in Indonesia. He came to the country as a teen and was swept into ivy league schools because of his skin color. When he got out, he was dropped into a city community activist role and from there was groomed by the democratic party to be their front runner, and soon to be president. Can anyone here honestly say he can identify with us...or even some Americans? He's out there on his own. I'm not saying he's a "bad" person. He's just never experienced an American way of life. He doesn't know what it's like to have your shirt soaked by evening dew while walking through a cornfield to the dogs. He doesn't know the feeling of walking over to a deer that you killed and feeling that primal satisfaction flow through your veins. I wonder if he's ever had his hands in the dirt, planting vegetables that will later feed his family? Or gone to bed with a sore body and blistered hands from splitting wood all day long? Has he ever taken the life of anything?....such as a game animal...or put down a creature he was fond of but it just needs doing because it's old or hurt? All of these things build the "American" character, and they're beautiful things to experience. I honestly think he hasn't the slightest clue as to what we, the average American feels is important and worth preserving. Trying to ban firearms, paying for volcanoe research and mars exploration, tax increases, and allowing other countries to threaten our existence is NOT what the average American wants to see. Maybe if he could sample just a little of our life we wouldn't have a guy making decisions for us, when he knows not what we are looking for or hold dear. It's so important to vote in someone who you can relate to, and will support policy that you can side with. I honestly don't understand what people were thinking when they cast their votes last year.

obama

for thre record, while i respect the office he holds, i would never lower myself low enough to walk into the white house, and drink a beer with the likes of him. he is a terrible example of leadership, and that beer thing defines it to a tee. he can make a racial comment, the deny it, then call and say lets talk, but never once admit it was racial, or apologize...no...i am a bigger man than to drink with his kind...black, white , red , yellow.....no matter. if they are like him, i think i'll buy my own beer, and save the taxpayers some money.

I would ask him why he felt the need to run this country down in his speeches in foreign countries.

I would ask him why he wants to "change" a country he says is so great?

I would ask him why he sought out terrorists, Communists, and racists to be his mentors.

I would ask him to tell how it feels to have a mother that denounced America, embraced Communism and a father that was a radical Muslim and member of the most murderous regime in Africa. Then ask him why he went and SUPPORTED that regime while in Africa, actually campaigning for the murderous tyrant.

I would ask him to tell me about his conversion to Christianity and then ask him how he can sentence unborn children to murder and even propose the abortion of his own grandchild and not wince pr even act like it bothers him in light of the word of God he says he believes in.

I would ask him why he refuses to show anyone his birth certificate or acknowledge the fact his college was paid for by a grant given to only FOREIGN STUDENTS.

I would ask him why he voted to disarm Illinois gunowners and leave then helpless to home invaders, making the very act of defending their own life, family and home a felony.

I would ask him if he thought I was a "typical white person".

I would ask him why he called out troops terrorists but refuses to call those beheading and murdering our innocent citizens the same.

I would ask him who is more proud of his actions as President. Lenin or Stalin.

No no you have it all wrong. Only certain groups of people can be racist. Anything else is called affirmative action.

This is what I think!

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America . Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.. This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known. Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude???

Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona ? And Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids.? Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it really white America 's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.
