Have problems keeping your dog cool?

I bought 2 of the cool coats last year and activated one of them for a show this past wkend. my male, TT, is very susceptable to the heat (he's black). so, I figured if this item would keep him cool, then it was worth the money I spent.

I brought him inside on Saturday night, he was panting hard, put the coat on and in 20 min he was no longer panting. He wore the coat all day on Sunday, except when showing and he never once panted. he stayed cool all day, even in the crate.

the company had a booth set up (all breed event) and had mats for the dogs to lay on, so I got one of those too.

these things are great and well worth it to keep your dog comfortable in the heat. just thought I'd share about the product.

Wish I'd had more time to shop there! Sounds like something Waylon needs while he's out in the pen during the week LOL...he may be mostly white but he HATES getting too hot. Were they terribly expensive Cynthia? TT is just a bit bigger than my Walker pup is.

FYI...still no sign of Gypsy coming in heat :-\ I left her at the house this week when I came to work since Waylon has found his way into their pen at Mom and Dad's, and John said still no bleeding or even slight swelling.

I have to of the neck cooling wraps and a cooling pad ... LOVE THEM and so do my black dogs... we use the neck wraps when hunting in the heat. I place it on the dogs between drops and it really cools them down.
