Congrats to ALL YOUTH participants! (Pics added)

Its funny how we single out a few youth handlers and build them up with congrats... but the reality is... at youth level WE should just congratulate ALL OF THEM.

So therefore I want to express my congrats to those that won at ANY LEVEL at the youth nationals. A cast win, a heat or even a class in my books is great-super-outstanding!!!!

But most importantly congrats to everyone that made an attempt to walk away a winner. You've all put in a lot of work, time, and gave it your best. The bottom line is if you and your dog did the best that you could do... then you are a winner in my books!

Here's to all the participants at UKC Youth Nationals!!! JOBS WELL DONE!

Ditto.... Congrats to all who went and participated.... And if you learned something new at the end of the hunt/show then that is priceless! Happy Hunting

I will agree that all participnats should be commended. So boys and girls who took part in nationals this year way to go. As for the rest of your comment I would simply say that if more parents "singled" out their kids maybe there would be more kids involved in our sport. Nowadays too many parents focus on things other than their kids. I think it's great when parents get behind their kids and ain't afraid to show it.

Maybe in years to come more aunts, uncles, moms, dads, or even just a particular adult in the community will bring someone that might not have a chance. Like I've said... if we don't support the youth of today, who will carry on the sport tomorrow!?!?

Very well stated StackemUp! I commend you for the kind thought of others that did try their best and walked away with only the memories. The kids from our club didnt do very well, but they sure do work hard all year long and enjoy the road trip every year. Nice to see sportsman ship extended

Random shots

We've all viewed the result pictures... now anyone got any candids. I know how excited my son gets when his picture makes print. Let's give something to all of them!

You are welcome to email to me and I'll upload and post.

COMPETITION...

... as someone who battled comp. nerves at every single horse show, bird show(yes...BIRD...LOL) and the one puppy match I did way back... as a teen and as an adult... I give credit to every youth who has the GUTS to show or hunt or participate in ANY competition!

These adults who are keeping the youth doing this are irreplaceable. I LOVED to take students to horse shows... but still battled those nerves BIGTIME. I KNEW I HAD to do it for them though......

Again.. a BIG CONGRATS on having the GUTS to compete from a BIG CHICKEN!

Heather
