Bright Eyes ???

Posting for a friend:

Which light would you recommend, Bright Eyes 21 volt or Bright Eyes 28 volt? Box light or belt light?

Which do you prefer and why?

Posted by Greg Kemp on 06-17-2009 03:15 AM:

Neither!!!

I have the 21v belt featherweight. I really like mine. I'm just a pleasure hunter, though. I'm sure the comp hunters would need more. Mine is good for about 12 hrs low, and 1 hr on high, so I just charge every night, and it's good for pleasure hunting.

I have the 21 volt belt light. I've had it for 7 years or so. Its dependable, light weight, comfortable, and has plenty of burn time. I bought two extra bulbs when I bought it and one of them is still in my pouch. Before it I hunted w/ the Penetrator since about 1995, no problems with it either.
I had new batteries put in it two years ago and gave it to a kid. Ray and Trina are great to deal with.

Bright Eyes

is a good light I have owned two box lights and one belt light from them. Can't complain at all but I really do like my Prolite and from what I hear those K-Lights are as good. Hope this helps in your search. But if you go with Bright Eyes that 28 volt is the one to go with. JMO!!!!!!!!

I would never buy another 28 volt anything. If you want more light, get a spotlight for your 21. The heat and bulb blowing of the 28 was too much for me to take. Plus the dang belt pack is so long it wraps halfway around me.

My fiance' and I have have a 21 volt Bright Eyes belt light, a 28 volt BE belt light, and a BE box light that I believe is 21 volts. All work just fine for me, but I like the belt lights because they're lighter and less bulky. I will say this....I usually use the 28 volt, and I can't tell much of a difference between the 28 and 21.

There isn't much difference between the 21 and 28 volt lights. The 21 volt will be alot easier on bulbs than a 28 volt for sure.

If you haven't found someone to buy one from give me a call, I sell Bright Eyes Lights.

WE HAVE USED BRIGHT EYES FOR YEARS.

WE'VE HAD A 10V BOX, 2 TERMINATORS, WHICH I THINK WAS 21 BOX, 28 V DOMINATOR BOX, AND 28 V BELT LIGHT.

ALL WERE/ARE GOOD SOUND LIGHTS.

WE HAVE A PROLITE AND LIKE IT. AND CHEYENNE HAS A K-LIGHT SHE LOVES AS WELL.

I WOULD RECOMMEND ALL 3, SO WHATEVER YOUR PREFERENCE IS!

Dang I wish mine would wrap around me like that. LOL!!!!!!! Guess either I am too fat or you way to skinny Briar. LOL!!!!

I don't have any trouble with my 28 volt Prolite blowing bulbs. I have had mine going on 3 yrs and only blew one bulb. They dont' make the 28 anymore any ways.

i`d tell your friend to wait on buying a lite. the only reason i say that is there`s a new lite about to hit the market. this new lite is as bright as a 21 volt lite, has a 4 hr burn time on high, 20 low. this best part about this lite is that it`s just the head, no more battery packs or cords. i`ve been using the prototype for a few months now and i could never wear my belt light again.

Can you say who is making the light or is it a secret until after Redbone Days. Do you have any idea what the cost will be as well. Thanks in advance for any info on these lights.

greg, have you been talking to dale?

as for the bugs greg mentioned, there was really no bugs, but up-grades to the lite have been made.

. the new lite will be black.
