registration question

i just bought a female walker that is registered and her papers have done been filled out by the guy that i bought her from what can i do when i send them in to get her transfered into my name?

Fill out an Affidavit stating you are the owner

Alterations:
Any cross out, white-out, or erasure made to the new registrant and new co-registrant fields on a UKC Application for Permanent Registration or Permanent Registration Certificate voids the document.


If this occurs, then new registrant (and new co-registrant) can complete and submit an Affidavit with the original certificate. The information provided on the Affidavit will over-ride the altered information on the original certificate. The Affidavit does require a fee of $15.00 in addition to the registration fees.

Notes: Corrections (cross out, white out, or erasure) are acceptable in the dog name, new owner address and fees sections of the Application for Permanent Registration or Permanent Registration Certificates.

Now I am having trouble finding out about reg. papers that has been traded around and the owner on record has not signed it, I quess the same Affidavit would have to be sent in with the Reg. papers, plus the $15.00 fee.

Actually the Affidavit will not work for papers where the owner on record has not signed off. We do need their signature in order to transfer the papers. If you don't know where the seller is or cannot contact them, you can send us a SIGNED written request for us to attemp to contact them for you. Give us as much information as you have, including the reason you need us to contact them as well as a good daytime phone number where you can be contacted. Send the request in to us, to the attintion of the Registration Department.

the original owner on record has signed the papers and the guyi bought her off of filled them out like hewas gona keep her but decided to sell her so will the affdavidt work?

The Affidavit is exactly what you need in this situation.
