UKC PP vs. ARHA PP

I was wondering the differences between the 2 formats. Are they running the same type of dog?

There are only a few very small differences I believe. I'm not a judge in ARHA but the only differences I know are ...

1. No hunting and handling in UKC must have +pts to advance or have had +pts on card

2. All dogs that strike in before rabbit is produce are held accountable for there strike position (ex) first struck dog 20pts then 2nd-5th 10pts, instead of just one hound for 20

3. No jumps in UKC

4. No running time outs

5. Judges can score a line in UKC if he sees the rabbit worth 10pts. Every dog gets these if they trail trough with the pack or if that one dog is the pack.

If I have forgotten anything some one please help me out. Hope this helps.

Travis, sounds like you have a good grasp of ARHA.

ARHA has a rule that allows the hunt to be extended. Lets say there is one second left in the hunt and a dog strikes in from that point when they strike in they get their full four minutes so the dog can be given the chance to produce the rabbit.

The last post on here made me think of another thing different in arha vs UKC Performance Pack in arha you have to certify to be a grand in UKC PP you do not have to do anything but get your wins.
