Dog Run Off Tree!!!

Happened last nite while hunting my female ALONE.

She struck and ran a track back towards me and the den tree I knew she would probably tree on. Sure enough, she rolls up and locates on this tree and then I hear a little ruckus. I thought maybe she was crossing the fence right by the tree...everything was quite, then she starts to locate again and before she cuts it over another ruckus is heard with things moving around in the brush and weeds and it again gets still.

I am close so I head in to see what's going on as something isn't right...thinking maybe she caught a kitten on the ground but I hear no fight. She is only 30-40 yards away and as I get 1/2 way there a doe trots right past me coming from where the dog is. She goes a few yards past and turns and watchs.

I get to the tree and dog is milling around tree, but not treeing.
I ask her "Where is he at???", she goes to the tree and dances on her hind feet but won't hardly bark and she keeps looking over her back to where the deer is looking in on us! LMAO. I never did see the fawn but I am sure there was one there and close.

Sure sounds like she was being molested by the off game, not the other way around.

Great way to break a dog off deer!

I agree that it was the dog that was being molested, not the deer.

Hobo,

That beats saying she was slick or she left...or BOTH!

I guess saying she left a slick tree is okay though.

Are we going to have to put shock collars on these trash running deer?

Hobo,

The ONLY way you can locate a coon is if it has a dollar bill in it's back pocket. Then you could locate one a 1/2 mile away! That's how you buy all those new trucks and fancy equipment.

Look at your dogs, they obviously eat meat from the butcher....they are pretty healthy lookin!!!

LOL
