Rock Creek Ring????

Anybody know anything about him or his sire and dam? I saw an ad on him and really like his breeding. He's a good looking sucker too.

yes, ive hunted with ring all last summer and fall. pat malloy bought him from swanson, and swanson bought him back. this dog is a freak of nature. big mouth. he is a excellent strike dog, and he comes on the tree with a dying locate that dont seem to end lol. he is NICE. and ive heard his pups are really nice also.

forgot to ad- i dont think they ever threw him in any hunts ever? he would grand out in no time.

not that i know of, i heard his pups were doing extremely well though. look up Dan Mcdonough on this messege board, he bred ring to his female last year, he can maybe contact some people and find out for you.

I have a one year old that is just a screaming machine. Shes out of dan's female molly and ring. Wish i could find another pup of him. She's never missed a beat from her first time out, just a unbeileivable dog for her age. If she makes it through bear season she will be crossed with a mostly sacket bred male.

managed to find one left on my old phone, brother deleted pictures off it and alls i had was this last sound clip of him treed. might have to turn volume up, i recorded this all the way back from the truck lol...

You all might want to get ahold of Swanson Matney. He's the amn that has Ring now. I had a nice litter and sold my pic-pup out of that litter to Rockringwalker. I called her Happy when she was here. She was about as sweet and outgoing a pup as I've seen and smart like a Leoaprd hound. I don't think I would have minded her staying but my focus has been on this line of Leopards that I've been rasing so I sold them all.

If anyone is serious about getting one of the dogs bought out of that give me a call and I'll see if I can't shake one loose from their owners. You had better be extra serious though. Swaney had to buy Ring back because he was having so much trouble buying any of his pups back. I believe that he was offering thousands of dollars and no one would bite. Finally he talked Pat into selling Ring back to him. Frankly, Pat regrets it and I think that he is nuts for selling him back even though I like Swaney. I sure wish I could have had Ring as a pup and hunted him on bobcats. He was something! Ring is as world as WORLD CLASS as it gets...with plus points!

Yeah Christy...you sure missed the boat on that one. I tried to buy back (for someone else) the female that you were going to get...goooood luck! Apparently, those folks are not short on money. I had another guy who wanted me to try and get her for him and he wasn't short on money either...no deal! I couldn't believe it.

Someone may get lucky and find a Ring pup to get for a realatively cheap price but I guarantee the owner is either stupid, lazy or has one of the VERY few culls. I actually don't know of a cull out of him, that doesn't mean there aren't any but it certainly isn't a bad sign!

Someone in the right position could make a legend out of that dog in a heartbeat. Gotta have the money though.

Again, if anyone is interested, I mean really interested, I think I could get you one of the females and possibley one of the males. I, personally would get a male because the likelyhood of someone having something better is wildly low and you had better breed it to everything you have.

Ring pup

I bred my female to Ring and this is the pup I kept. I've raised alot of pups through the years, and this pup is the best built one of them all. I realy like his big square head. I talked to alot of people before I bred to him and they all said that he was a well built dog, with a big mouth, very acurate, and passed those traits on to his pups. Ring is Dohoney's Boone bred and still standing at stud in Abingdon Virginia. He is owned by Samual Scyphers, 1-276-608-1723.
