Why are there so many Garmin's for sale?

I was about to buy one & noticed that there are a ton of them for sale, so I was afraid something was wrong with them.
I was just curious why so many are for sale?

I have heard Marshall was coming out with a GPS system that would convert to a beep beep system when it looses signal!!

Once you hunt with a Garmin you'll NEVER go back to the beep beep's.

Garmin

Where on here do you see Garmins forsale. These are the best thing since sliced bread. I have a feeling if there on here foresale someone didn't know how to use them. If there on here used forsale they won't have any trouble selling them. If you buy one and use it for a few days you'll love it.

i have used one and been around a few people that uses them, and i dont want one they lose signal to much esp. in the summer time, as with the beep beep they have to get out of range for it not to work thats just my opinion every man has his own

I like mine. The more creative that you are, the more you will find that they can be a HUGE benefit from training pups to marking things, to evaluating track/trailing ability. Not to mention it can aid in exposing those "me to" dogs. Generally speaking, these types of things only get better with each new year it seems. I can't imagine how far behind the beep-beep guys will be in another 5 years. Not saying beep-beep doesn't work, it has for many years and they won't be "behind". But they will certainly not be taking advantage of whats new.

I was skeptical about the Garmin for a long time & still don't like the battery life of the collar. With that being said I bought one and love it so far. I have used a Maxima for the last couple of years but would have a hard time going back to it now.

i would like to see were any are forsale. all i see for sale is the beepers. they are obsolete.
...loose signal? how many times have you pulled out your beeper and sayed i can't get him. drive around trying to get a signal . with the garmin you know right were they were when you lost it. i have lost signal with my beepers so many times i couldn't tell you.

Go to the "Other" board under coon hound classifieds and there is numerous ones for sale....most are used at NEW price. There is 2 Garmin's and 3 beep beep's on the front page right NOW!! If you go back farther there is more of both ( meaning Garmin's and Beep Beep's ) for sale!!

Garmin

I absolutely love the garmin and can't think about hunting without it. Numerous times I have found out what my buddies go deep dogs are doing. Just the other night we were hunting one dog each and my female located and treed and then his dog followed suit and they were both hitting it hard and then all of sudden my female was the only one treed and when we got there the coon was in the tree but no buddies dog to be found, so out comes the garmin with long range antenna and 2.2 miles away on a straight line we find his dog and it did not take her long to get there. With the old beep beep (there must of been two coon and she ran it away from the tree). With the garmin (she just hitched a ride with bambi). Needless to say it was hard for him to make excuses on that one. And he always wanders why he has to walk 2 miles every time to find his dogs when I strike and tree close to the places where I cast the dogs. It takes alot of worry out of hunting and will really help the gene pool.

Every now and then you'll loose signal for about 5 seconds. But by the time your dizzy from going around in circles I allready got signal back and know where my dogs at.

The 2 on the "Other" board are priced at $500 and $525. There are bunches of them for sale on Ebay, brand new, for $470-$490. Good luck selling a used one for 5 bills.

The Marshall GPS/Tracking system won't be field tested until this Fall. I would imagine distribution would be early next Spring.... The rep told me that their system would be about the same size as their current system.

I love my GARMIN but cant wait till Marshall makes one..It should be nice!!!!!! I'd like to be one of the field testers!!!! If they make one that will pick up for 2 or 3 miles consistantly.Garmin will never sell another one.

I picked up my dogs 2.1 Mile this week in Missouri hill country. The map card is also an excellent addition to the Garmin.

The Marshall system will be about the size of the unit they have now with the GPS capability added to it. I would imagine that it will be pricey. It is larger thatn the Garmin.
