Tracker Maxima?

I'm new to tracking systems, and was looking into getting the Tracker Maxima Complete 1000/10 model. I can't find any kind of reveiws on it. Can anyone tell me about one? Good and bad points, thanks.

I have one and it works good. It is nice because of the size. We hunt in some big hills and don't have no problems.

Nothing against the maxima, but the tracker classic is better unless you need more that a two dog system, the classic has set crystals and the maxima doesn't also the classic is cheaper JMO

If you really want one I know where a good used one is with four collars and the long range yogi antenna is. The guy just got a Garmin and wants to sell his. PM me and I will give you his name and number.

They are a good tracker and I agree that the Classic is the best buy if a two dog system is all you need. I have had both (Classic & Maxima 5000) and the Classic will track you dog just as good as the Maxima. I have bought a Garmin now & am very impressed with it so far. I still have my Maxima and will keep it just in case I need another unit for some reason. If you go with the Classic or the Maxima I suggest Marshall collars.

thanks for the replies, I just bought one. It should be here by wed, it comes with 2 johnson 8000hr collars. are they pretty easy to figure out? I havent been around many tracking systems.

best to figure it out before you put it on a dog. i like mine. have someone hide the collar for you then go find it.

i had a classic and i have a old maxima and the new complete. i have liked all 3 the complete by far is the best, pretty much the other 2 combined into one.
