A Big Scare for Lisa Hunziker!!

I would ask all of you to say a prayer for Lisa & her family. Last night her home & kennels were hit with 106 mile an hour tornado winds. While they weren't in the eye of the storm, many of her windows & pieces of her home were blown to who knows where! By some miracle Lisa & her dogs made it out alive but her Kennels were destroyed & some of her dogs were trapped for hours. There was a lot of devastation & trees down so they are all trying to deal with the aftermath today.
Lisa is one of those people that is always trying to help others so if anyone can led a hand with clean up or donate unused kennels, crates, dog houses etc I'm sure she would be very grateful for the help. Since she has somewhere around 20 dogs, she is scrambling to try to get them all settled. Some of her hounds are very tramatized from rolling down the hill in their houses, & there is a lot of debris.
If anyone would like to help out please call Lisa @ 618-303-1065. In the meantime we all hope & pray that her & her fine hounds have made it out the other side.

I talked to Vera 2 times today and she said Lisa was more than scared and had dogs running everywhere....

Prayers are up for you Lisa and for your family and neighbors!!!

Lisa is trying to get the place cleaned up as much as she can by herself for right know.

I would like to say thank you for the help everyone is offering
Lisa lives in Murphysboro Ill. and I live in Hartford City In I will be hedding out to her place this weekend to help and to deliver some doghouses that have been donated . So if anyone close to me would like me to take something it would be greatly appreciated.

I Would like to share some of this pictures with you I just cant believe that the dogs got out ok.

From the pictures it is hard to believe any of the dogs survived much less all of them! Lisa has been though so much but I am sure the Lord has a plan for her and a reason for putting her though so many tests. Our thoughts are prayers are with Lisa and her family. We are too far away to help with her clean up but we will continue to help with our prayers for Lisa and her family - especially her dad.

wish i was closer.......id come help,,,,,,fer piece from texas.......and i got a brand new kennel....just sittn here,,, but it be hard to move unless ya broke it all the way back down,,,,,was one of those kennels ina box,,,,,,, i know this dont help,,,,,
Lisa ...good luck....do hope ya gte all the dogs settled for to long.. i know how ya feel. my kennels wernt damaged durin hurricane Ike,,,,, but they were pushed over and 2 dogs got out,,,,,were missing for 16 hours,,,,i had just got out of the hosp, had staples in my belly......late that nite i heard them treed across the highway,,,,, holdin my belly i made it thru the wood with my daughters help to git my dogs,,,,,,,ones pads were raw and one was snake bit,,,,, they were back to normal ina week,,,,,, keep the faith and god will see ya thru........

Justa thought.....Is there a local county animal shelter that could lend a hand? We have a disaster response program here in Suwannee County, Florida, and here at the shelter we assist folks when we have a natural disaster. I know it usually depends on the size of the community as to the service that is provided. Wish we were closer! I would love to help!!Your shelter might give you come contact numbers of businesses or groups that could help...hope that helps!!!Lisa, our prayers are with you....Janis

Anyone have any idea how clean up and rebuilding is going at Lisa's? I know her dad died and she had that to deal with. Just wondering if any repairs have been able to be made. I saw where several people were donating items to her and Vera was going there over last weekend.

Any update would be great. Just real worried about her and too far away to do anything other than worry.

I have not heard since I talked to Vera & Lisa Monday and the Funeral was Tuesday but If I know Lisa all her efforts are going into her dogs and kennels right now.
Driving a few nails has to feel good right now.

~Lisa has been so busy working in the greenhouse tiring to keep it going for her Dad and helping her mom cope with everything that has been going on. Clean up is very slow Lisa is very grateful
for everything that has been donated to help get her kennels up and going...And all the prays and thoughts people have sent..

Just heard from Lisa. She is working in the greenhouse and trying to keep the business going for her dad. She said they are a month behind because of the weather and have to get it caught up. If there is anyone in that area that is able/willing to assist her with clean up and fixing her kennels PLEASE PLEASE go help her. There is only so much that she can do and cleaning up all that mess by herself is a major task.

Still in our thoughts and prayers here in Georgia.
