Do you spray anything around your yard for them or is it a problem?

Jaybird,

Don't feel bad. They are even bad right here in V.B. too.Last week I took a couple of pups outfor a run in the woods behind the house for about an hour. When I got back to the house,I could feel 'em crawlin' all over.Pulled about 14 seed ticks off me and I think 5 normal size ticks.

LOL I can get in the pickup to go to work the next morning and I have to do a search on my cloths when I get to work, cause they are in my pickup... My wife refuses to ride in my pickup, She calls it the tick mobile....

I once was walking through a field with grass about knee high. I looked down and my blue jeans were no longer blue. They were litterally black with seed ticks, and that is no exaggeration. There were literally hundreds of thousands on me. I freaked out, took off running, stripped my clothes off and jumped in the creek.
There is nothing like having hundreds of little seed ticks buried up in every square inch of your body, add a good dose of chiggars, another dose or two of poison ivy, and you are in for a good time. Cant wait.

I have been pulling deer ticks off of me all winter long. It's almost never too cold here to find a tick.

Shelby D. Sawyers----------Worst ticks I was ever in was in OK. Went to that big PKC added out there a couple of years ago, and everyone in the cast got COVERED. I mean hundreds of ticks all over everybody. It was like it was raining ticks. Before I went out the next night, I treated all of my clothes and boots with Permanone, and used deet on all exposed skin. No problem with ticks that night. Here's a tip; spray all of your truck seats down with Permanone. That stuff works. Kills the ticks if they come off of your clothes and hit the seat.

Frontline works good on my dogs.

Man ol man

Went turkey hunting this morning for the last time this year! Dang ticks carried me back to the truck! I figured that real cold snap in Jan would thin um out? Guess Not

I do appreciate the advice Locknut !!!! Where can you find Permanone ? I have never heard of it !!! But I"ll be looking for it.. We have had about 4- inches of rain, and the ticks have hidden I guess but they shall return !!!
Thanks for the info !!!
