Anyone reload their own Ammo?? ALERT!!

Obama Proposes Signing Treaty To Ban Reloading

When President Obama went to Mexico in April, he proposed that the United States sign the Inter-American Convention Against Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials.

Despite the fact that it purportedly deals with “illicit manufacturing and trafficking,” GOA is convinced that this convention defines these terms much more broadly and potentially presents serious dangers to Americans lawfully exercising their Second Amendment rights.

http://gunowners.org/fs0901.htm

Some of the people out there saying "don't worry" are using this bit as the foundation of their reasoning:

"RECALLING that States Parties have their respective domestic laws and regulations in the areas of firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials, and recognizing that this Convention does not commit States Parties to enact legislation or regulations pertaining to firearms ownership, possession, or trade of a wholly domestic character, and recognizing that States Parties will apply their respective laws and regulations in a manner consistent with this Convention;

Which is all true, but, this Treaty isn't about "ownership" of OEM/Retail guns/ammo... it's about banning rolling your own.

Banning "illicit manufacture" has no (political) effect on "ownership, possession, or trade"... of OEM guns/ammo.

For manufacture to be "illicit" there has to be a definition of "licit" - i.e. licenced, regulated, commercial manufacture.

Most who have a loading bench will not be licensed. Therefore it will be "illicit" - and therefore "Banned".

Re loading supplies are already back ordered since Dec..It ridiculous! All hes doing is making it impossible to be able to afford to shoot our guns..I guess we will need a good flip and steel balls to coon hunt with!!!!!!

Ammo shelves bare

I've been to Wal Mart and Wulf Outdoors trying to buy .38 ammo & was informed they've been "out" for a long time & don't know when they'll be getting any more.
Guess I'll try some of the local pawn shops next.
Anyone else had problems buying ammo?

I've bought from both of these sites, good service and always get what I order. I checked for .40 and .25 ammo and both were on backorder.....We can have firearms...just no ammo???

Looks like they have the problems solved for our rights to defend ourselves?!?!?!?!?

Both of above web sites

listings for .38 ammo say it is out of stock.
Guess I don't understand how Oprama can prevent ammo manufacturers from producing merchandise - but the new regime MUST have something to do with this situation?????? Why would just SOME ammo be available? Could it be that .22 is considered "not as deadly" by the anti gun people? I'm asking because I've always (in the past) been able to walk in & buy any type of ammo without seeing bare ammo shelves.

try this site it had 38 ammo when I was looking at it awhile ago.now I've never ordered from them so don't know what their service is like.oh and I would say that companys are making it still since I see it here in some store.I guess people just buying some kind of ammo up faster then places can get it in.

the cheaper than dirt alos has a option where you can ask them to email you when a product is in again.

I don't think that the manufacturers are producing less, I think everyone is hoarding so it is getting harder to find.

think about it for a minute, last year the supreme court ruled in favor of the 2nd amendment... he cant legally take guns, but, he can tax the crap out of them and ammo, making it almost impossible for the average person to shoot recreationally... the reason there is no ammo is the people looking ahead and stocking up.. the way i see it he is the best salesman the gun and ammo manufacturers have seen in years lol, just have to wait it out to the next conservative president
