your dog will grow out of that. just yell at her and tell her to get back on the tree. sometimes you need to switch them back to the tree .

You may have?

You may have already tried this but i had a pup once that did the same thing and what i did at first was would listin for the pup to be treeing and if he would stop i would stop and turnoff my light and wait for him to start treeing again if he did i would turn my light back and start to him again and i just kept repeating this untill it got to where i was close enough to the tree and i would let him come in to me tie him up right there and go in and put the coon out to the other dogs. It only took a few times of this and he was 99% cured. I know that not all dogs are the same but i think the pup is so excited that he did a good job he is just trying to be the 1st one to tell you lol !! Once he figures out that when he stays treed untill you get there is what you want he will probablly be your best tree dog. JMO... GOOD LUCK

Tie the pup back off the tree and shoot the coon out two another dog. Then take the coon tie it on a rope drag the coon a 100 yards and rub it up and down bottom of tree and tie it up in the tree then let the pup loose. After the pup find the tree work the coon with the rope up and down just above the pup and after he does a good job let the coon fall to the pup. prise and pet the pup while it chews on the coon. The next time out with another hound and if the pup isnt treeing much tie the pup back again and shot the coon at to the other dog and let the pup see whats going on but dont let him get close the coon. then take the dogs back to the truck. then the next time i will bet the pup will stay treed.

Pettish Dogs

Also do this a lot of times. Is she one that acts likes she loves you??? I've had very young & not so young a pup do this. Some simply love to be given attention by you & associate this good behavior(treeing) with you because you've petted them on trees when they were treeing & doing a good job when first starting them. These type of dogs are usually very good natured. Usually a switching back to the tree every time they do this after they've became a very well started dog will take care of it, but just don't lose your temper & over do it. This honestly is very easily stopped.
