Huntin' Last Night

The hunts are starting to start up in full force here in NE Ohio and after a weekend of fun we're back to working the dogs in the woods Our good friends Mike Stewart and Seth Schatzel came up for a hunt last night and we had a real good time. The weather was great and we were hunting Mike's two dogs (Roxie & Pearl), Kellie was hunting Mister, Seth was hunting Rock and my Mom was handling LJ (he's only 8 months old). I hunted Pearl this past weekend at an event and will be handling her in a few more this weekend so I've been learning her mouth.

First dump we cut 'em all and they went deep and Roxie and Pearl were the first to tree, then Mister and Rock. They had the meat. Second drop they went just down the holler and struck, Mister and Pearl treed followed by Roxie. They were on a big den tree. Third dump we cut 'em down the other side and they went a little deeper and struck, kept going and Mister, Pearl and Roxie treed together. Rock kept working and treed on a den. The other three were on a slick but I guess you'll have that. Anyways we had a lot of fun and it was a beautiful spring night. Thanks for reading and here are some pics....

lookes like you girls are haveing fun and still allways treeing coon keep it up.
me and rex took ruger and jesse out last night it was raining lighting it was nasty but they got a coon treed i all most couldnt see the coon it was raining so hard i couldnt see any thing the only way i could see him was when i walked up the hill so i was looking level with the top of the tree. i was pertty proud of them two dogs then never shut up and never got off the tree. well any way good hunting and have fun.

you'll have that when his owner was the only one that went to the tree!!!!lololol JK....

had a great time and Mister is a lot of fun to hunt...
Lj stayed gone REAL good all night, it is a good start at least!

As always BUT... a SLICK TREE? Hmm... not sure I can read your hunts any more now.... LOL...

Yes indeed... none of us or our hounds(especially me since I just had to retype that about ten times)... are perfect are we?

Life would be VERY VERY boring if we were all perfect and the same etc...
