Hey Allan
I read what you wrot ein th ecoon hound advisor about judge selection and let me say AMEN. You are 110% absolutely correct. Now, how do we fix it? It has to start at UKC, if you ask me, and probably thousands of other people they would all agree that this should be UKC's first priority.
Example.
A 17 year old kid came over went hunting this week, he hunted at Ashland the past Friday. His first cast. Well, the judge knew that, and worked this poor kid over all night. 3 dogs got in the ground, the boys dog was out a ways off running a track. They got to the hole and handled their dogs. the judge told the boy he had to go catch his dog off it's track and he had an hour to catch him. The dog was opening on track and moving. The boy didn't think that was right, but thought th ejudge certainly wouldn't tell him that if it weren't. The kid ran his dog down and caught him. I believe he even minused th ekids strike points. another time the boys dog was split tree, barking every breath. The judge said the dog barked off the tree and minused him 125.
This kind of stuff is beyond eplanation in my mind, these scum bags should be barred for life from UKC on their first offense, and their name should be published in Bloodlines under a heading that reads Lying, worthless scumbags.
Go get um Allan, and if there is anything I can do to help you I will do itin a heart beat. Believe that.
