Lost A Good Friend

Got a call tonight From Earl Wardel's daughter saying Earl had passed on. Earl was from Little Compton, RI. I met him 20 years ago or so buying a young Blue dog that I started my Kennel with. From that day on I had a great friend. I had the pleasure of hunting with Earl many times. He loved his hounds, all of them, from Beagles to Bassets to big Blues. Some of you might remember his old hounds. One of them was EASTERN MUSIC HACKSAW. He was a legend in the New England area as the fastest swim hound around. He was a hell of a coon hound also. We had alot of laughs. I can still see his smile and hear his laugh as he would try and smack me with his cane for being a smart ass. He was a stand up guy in my book and he will be missed. STAY TREED OLD FRIEND AND GOD SPEED. Your friend, John

Oh! How I Remember

Prayers & thoughts from the Morelly family.

I met Earl and Hacksaw back in my early days starting out with coon dogs. Earl would always have time and good advice for me with training my young hounds. A gentleman he was!
Earl & Hacksaw were a team to reccon with in the water races. It was good seeing Earl and Hacksaw @ the Hamilton and Swanzey clubs . Your hound had to be an athlete to compete against Hacksaw. This hound was a swimmimg machine ! Earle competed Hacksaw in both UKC And AKC competetion. The AKC races were a hoot, with betting small money on the winner, and most of the time Earle taking the winnings.
