Daylight Savings Time...

HAS GOT ME TOTALLY SCREWED UP!

I CANT SLEEP ANYMORE! LOL. MAYBE I'LL GET USED TO IT AND GET TO SLEEP SOME!

THEN IT WILL BE TIME TO SWITCH AGAIN!

LAST 2 WEEKS, I'VE NOT WENT TO BED BEFORE ABOUT 1:30.

IT'S INSANE! THEN I CAN HARDLY DRAG MYSELF OUT OF BED THE NEXT MORNING! LOL

WHEN WILL IT END.....

DST is not the prob.....

u only bumped the clock 1 hour..... before, was u going to bed at 12:30?

it don't make sense that moving time up 1 hr would cause u 2 stay up til 1:30 in the morning..... I like DST and I wish it would stay where it's at right now......

P.S. shorten ur signature or I'm telling....

i'm with you Christy. I despise dst.
Just another 'great' idea by some legislator in Washington to move it up 3 weeks and extend it 3 more weeks in the fall.
They just cant leave well enough alone.
dst stinks

BTW... the liberals did it or the thread deleters, or signature editors.. one or the other!!!

I KNOW IT'S ONLY ONE HOUR, BUT 1 HOUR MAKES ALOT OF DIFFERENCE SOMETIMES.

YES, I USUALLY GO TO BED BETWEEN 11:30 AND 1, VERY SELDOM DO I EVER GO TO BED BEFORE 11:30 UNLESS I'M JUST DOG DEAD TIRED. AND IF WE GO HUNTING IT'S SOMETIMES LATER, BUT I DONT GO A WHOLE LOT DURING THE WEEK DUE TO CHEYENNE HAVING SCHOOL. BUT EVERY NOW AND THEN, WHEN SHE'S BEEN REALLY GOOD AND ASKS, WE WILL TAKE HER DURING THE WEEK.

BUT EVEN THEN UNLESS SOMETHING DRASTIC HAPPENS, WE'RE USUALLY HOME BY 1 OR 2.

I think they got it backwards. This time of year and thru the summer I could get along just find without it. In late fall and winter when it gets dark early I often could use that extra hour of daylight to get a couple things done before dark, or at least get home before dark.

Posted by Plottluvr on 03-26-2009 02:47 PM:

I wish they'd just leave it like it is. I think it's silly to have the change the clocks back an hour for only 4 months.

Posted by Bluedogman on 03-26-2009 03:02 PM:

Oh yeah it would be great to leave it like it is now all year as far as I'm concerned.

I like it like it is now too. When archery season comes in in Oct. it gives me enough time to get home from work and go sit in a deerstand for an hour or two, but after it changes there's no time.

just move the clock back 30 min and it will be in the middle of 1 hr back and 1 hr forward and leave it there all year.

It sucks. I hit 2 deer late this winter and was glad it was just getting daylight when going to work and just getting dark when driving home. Left 3 hrs. of good hunting time at night. Now it's dark in the morning and after 2 or 3 hrs. of hunting makes a long day.

I agree DST causes a lot of trouble for me. The thing is your body and brain have an internal alarm clock. Humans have body cycles called Circadian Rythms which are caused by hormones in your body which intern sets a biological clock and controls when we fall asleep and when we wake up. This is why we wake up 5 minutes before the alarm goes off before you get up for work in the morning because your body gets used to the repeated pattern of waking up every morning for work and what not. So when DST hits the Circadian Rythms in your body make 11:00 P.M feel like 10:00 P.M which is why we feel like we have that extra boost of energy to stay out hunting an hour longer and instead of waking up at 7:00 in the morning we sleep until 8! Not only does DST affect the way we sleep, but like GA Dawg said DST makes us have to wait an extra hour to unsnap the dogs lol.

Reset your internal clock. It's all in the head! Mind over matter! Very simple!

You gotta reset your sleeping patterns and the internal clock. You can do that Bluedogman. Ever go to sleep worrying about waking up in time say for maybe the first day at work or anxious to wake up the next morning because its the first day of BUCK season and wake up before your supposed to? Stress hormones (caused by the worrying and anxiety) will actually trigger your brain to wake you up when it feels like its getting close to the time you need to actually wake up. So just go to bed and think of something exciting thats going to happen very early the next day, or worry about getting up lol. I cant do that though so I get to bed early by taking Nyquill and set the alarm 20 minutes early in the and drink a Red Bull every morning lol.
