I have a gaited mule that I ride. She rides really smooth and is very enjoyable. She will go anywhere I ask her to. I have always wanted to try hunting off of her but the woods are just too thick here. I think it would be more of a job than its worth here.

I've got a mule here now that I am working with. A mule is the best ride you will find. I have hunted off them. It is hard to find a good one. You wont beat them in the woods either. The one I have now is around 14 hands but a small mule can tote a good sized man all night.

Yes she has rode at night. We do alot of trail riding. Nothing seems to spook her. I've been in parades with sirens and go carts going everywhere and she just goes right along like nothing is happeneing.

mule

id love to have me one around 15 hands , to ride they are so much easyer to take care of than a horse, and there not nearly as easy to spook i dont think .
A friend of mine had one called Radar once he would stand flat footed and jump a net wire fence , he was a good mule .
also he would load in the back of a pickup truck also
