the biggest problem with most houndsmen is that they see what they wont to bout a hound an not what is real.most of our hounds have more faults than we care to rconize. but not always does it make the hound a bad hunter. i say make no excuses about a hound an it is what it is.for thoes guys that push the pen to make their hounds you cheaping our sport an the reason alot of guys dont hunt comp. in a nut shell if a handler cant see it right then our sport suffers. just my thoughts.

Amen brother! Anyone that doesnt realize the fact that there are some titled dogs out there that AINT coondogs is not accepting the truth.
Dogs get bred to studs that shouldnt even be breeding because they havent been titled by THE HONOR RUlES of the nite hunt. They are titled by the dishonorable hunting of dishonorable owners and handlers.
NOw that is not true in all cases, thankfully. Just a few. Best thing to do with a dog you are going to breed to is either hunt with that dog or get word of mouth from someone you can trust that can tell you about that dog.
THis is my opinion so it doesnt mean I am right or wrong, it is my opinion and in fact some of my opinion is based on truth.
