Sometimes , we can figure out what folks are saying and don't need to nitpick spelling ... but honestly , what is a " dejur" ? I have tried to pronounce it every way I can think of and it's still jibberish .

Dont know what a "dejur" is either but...

As much as our current administration romances about Lincoln, he pretty much put a fork in the founding fathers dream of states rights....Setting the stage for the monsterous federal govenment we have today.

Thanks Abe...

"Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, a most sacred right – a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can, may revolutionize, and make their own of so much of the territory as they inhabit." – Abraham Lincoln, (speech in Congress January 1848)

Read that quote by ol Abe. He made this speech when it was the NORTHERN states threatening to leave the Union because they didn't agree with the prospect of war with Mexico (they feared the added territory would come in and be made into more southern states and tilt the balance of power south), and he was laying out their argument that they were within their rights to do so....funny how he forgot those principles when it was the other section of the country wanting out a few years later...Just like any friggin' politician. He supported whatever stance favored him the most in the moment....

Could you rephrase or spell check this.... I don't want to sound like a smart a@@ but I have no ideal what this sentence is saying????

I do know we have the right to use clear English (that was a bit smart a@@-ish on purpose!)

I believe he means dejure

which means by right. Basically what I think he is saying is that if we don't agree with the government do we have the right to institute what we feel is a just entity in the postion.

Posted by bond007 on 03-20-2009 07:04 PM:

thank you

...............dejure

never claimed i could spell. bad to spell the way it sounds.

I did some reading on our FL State Constitution, and this is what I comprehend, which sometimes I am weak in,.........the state has a right to organize and protect itself from enemies of the state, which would be any one to commit a violent act against the state. Basically treason would be committed in a broad way, in other words, a person is either for or against and there is no middle ground. So, I guess this is an infinite law, and any one who seeks to change the state govt. by deadly force will always be considered in an act of treason.

Posted by bond007 on 03-20-2009 07:54 PM:

What is ......Treason

Treason is defined as an act of disloyalty against a nation or national sovereign by a citizen of that nation.
Anyone can be a traitor, including ordinary citizens, members of the goverment, or active duty military.

my two cents.
any elected person in office who knowingly chooses to award there own agenda and not the peoples who he elected them is a act of Treason.
doing this they act in a maner of disloyalty to there people , state and the nation as a whole.

Short answer is what any one would be labeled to go against the state. It's fixed so the good people will always be traitors. A person must have two witnesses to be guilty of treason according to the law. I got to reread the US Constitution, there was something about fed. elected officials that could not be questioned???????? immunity I think???????

Posted by Plottluvr on 03-20-2009 08:14 PM:

Like Nixon said...when the president does it its not illegal.

I remember Nixon on TV, but dang I can't remember anything he said. Seems like he was always interrupting Charlie Brown or something???????

bond hear anything else about why the military was sent to Sampson? any butts get chewed for violating the Constitution?

looks like this would be a good time for a strawman for the AIG bonus getters

As mad as everyone is about that, I think it's hilarious. Business as usual for both sides. Except AIG did nothing wrong, but get paid as per contract agreement. There's another Constitutional amendment being broken about honoring contracts. Then they break the Constitution again, trying to pass that tax law to seize the money back. That falls under equal protection, but the Native Americans can give lessons on that, huh?

bond007

I'm a Pvt in the North Carolina Army National Guard, and to the best of my knowledge that is what passes for todays malitia force. All 50 U.S. states have national guard as well as Puerto Rico and the other U.S. Territories......... coming to my point, When a Marine, Navy, regular Army, or Air Force swears their oath, they swear to the President of the United States. When a National Guardsman swears their oath they swear to the Governer of their individual State........ BUT..... The President can ask the State for military help and National Guard Co. can be sent over seas but that is the decision of that states governor weather to send them or not..................

Hope this was understandable and helpful.

as of today no one will say who made the call for the feds to come. it is unconstutional for them to do this yet they came. it is now being investagated but no one is talking.
AIG only did what there contract would allow. because someone was on watch it was uncovered and now they(the gov) are pointing fingers. they all signed the stimulus bill. there all quilty of this treasonus act against the people. yet they blame aig. when in fact they didnt read the bill(to busy thinking about party they wanted to attend afterwards) but just dont and wont take blame for not doing there duty for the american people. instead they saddled our grand children and great great great grands with a debt that is impossible to pay. yet they live immune to what they have done. i for one will be at our polls as they come to inform all of the truth that these we have in office today are lazy and not worthy of office. they dont mind signing a bill as long as they dont havft to read it so they can point blame. stupid is what stupid does, AND THEY ARE STUPID
