Coon Market Collapse

Reports out of the latest sale in Seattle are coon prices have collapsed. Many top offereings were in the dollar range.

Larry, this has been like an albatross over all of our heads since the beginning of the season last year. I didn't sell a single skin, I'll hold them before I take an Obama-reaming. Heck, I'll get more use outta the hides working with young dogs than I will selling them! lol

I saved some hides, but im not gonna bother trying to sell them now. I did sell the meat. and there is a guy up the road that asks for a hide every now and then to train pups with, so I just keep them for him.

GOOD NEWS .. WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DOGS IN SNARES AND CONNIBEARS. COON POP WILL GO UP, EVERY FARMER WILL BE CALLING WANTING ME TO THIN OUT COONS . WILL BE LAND OWNERS FREIND. BEST NEWS I HAVE HEARD IN A LONG TIME.
... LETS SEE.. LOTS OF COONS TO TRAIN PUPS WITH, SELL YOUNG SS. PER. DOG BREAD REAL GOOD FOR 2500 TO 5000 , HOW MANY COONS WOULD YOU HAVE TO HARVEST TO COME UP EITH THEM NUMBERS. NOW LETS SAY YOU SOLD A COUPLE YOUNG DOGS A YEAR. WHY YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE CARRYING COONS TO THE TRUCK FOR YEARS TO COME UP WITH THAT. BOTTOM LINE COONS ARE WORTH MORE TO ME WHEN THE ARE WORTHLESS.....JMO
