HB 3063 they have added to this bill to lower the legal weight on a bear down to 75lb live weight 50lb dressed.

call 1-877-565-3447 to oppose this bill

then make that call,its not to late.Im talking with the bear biologist tryin to get a middle ground wording.Have proposed to him keep the weight at 100 lbs,give a 20 lb field dressed leeway(that would be 80 lb dressed) and strike the word cub. The reasoning he gave me was to protect hunters from getting a ticket for killing a small bear(I know go figure)And to make it easier on the CO's.

I think what I have proposed to him is a much better way to make ALL happy. The main thing is at this point he is listening and I think from the hundreds of calls so far they are getting the idea the hunters DO NOT want this lowering of weight.

if anything raise it not lower it. id rather kill quality bear than smaller bear anyways.

Guys this isnt only a bad bill but theyare trying to push this through without hearing the peoples opinion!!!!!! They are trying to take away our voice!!!!

in my oppinion whether its liked or not. if your a bear hunter in this state and you dont stand up and fight this. then you dont deserve to be bear hunting in this state. period. because this is plain out ridiculous. basically its the first or second step in taking away our rights in the end to bear hunt with hounds or bear hunt period. think about it no bear no hunting. the less the numbers the more reason for them to make it illegal. end of story
