another Garmin ?

I cant find this in the owners manual,here goes. when I get 999 yards from my DC30 it the yards start over like if it soupoused to be 1 milw and 130 yards it just reads 130 yards,is this right.how can I tell how many miles /

Your garmin reads the first half mile in yards then goes to tenths of a mile. There are 1,760 yards in a mile, once it hits about 900 yards which is ~ .5 miles you will see the next reading be .6 which is 6 tenths of a mile. Once it reaches a mile it still reads in tenths of a mile but you will see something like 1.2, 1.3 and so forth.
