Ok to crosspost
Well isn't this special, I feel are warm and fuzzy since the HSUS will be
protecting our animals.
We all knew it wasn't quite safe yet to "go out in the water" but the sharks
will have a regular feeding frenzy with this one.

HSUS Gushes Over New "Creature Caucus" in Congress
Group of Congressmen to Advocate Animal Rights Agenda
2/19/09

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) couldn't be happier with
the formation of a new group of Congressmen that will promote its agenda.

On February 18, U.S. Representatives Jim Moran (D- VA) and Elton Gallegy
(R- CA) announced the formation of a new Congressional Animal Protection
Caucus. The goal of the group is to get like-minded members of Congress
together and promote animal rights policy in Washington, D.C. through
forums and briefings.

According to the Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF), the legislative
wing of the HSUS, the new caucus will "take lawmaking for the animals to
the next level." HSLF went on to gush in its blog, "we could not be more
excited about their leadership of this new organization of humane
lawmakers."

HSUS President and CEO, Wayne Pacelle was also prominently quoted in
Rep. Moran's press release announcing the caucus' formation.

Pacelle stated, "The newly constituted Congressional Animal Protection
Caucus will help better align our federal policies with public opinion,
and we are excited to work closely with its leaders and with the entire
Congress to combat cruelty and abuse."

As of press time, a full list of other U.S. Representatives joining the
caucus was not available. However, the USSA will let sportsmen know as
the names become available. Each member of the caucus should be
contacted by constituents in their districts.

Representatives should be made aware of HSUS' radical anti-hunting
agenda. They also need to be aware that sportsmen expect their
representatives not to cow tow to that agenda.

This is serious!!! I can't believe that our country has degenerated to the state where fascist tactics used by the Gestapo in WWII Germany are considered (or being considered) as politcally correct and an enforced way of life. It has to stop and ASAP!!! If we don't mobilize our forces, these organizations will eradicate all possible forms of domestic and companion animal ownership. This is a direct violation of our Bill Of Rights.

Personally, I do not intend to sit back and allow these fascist, socialistic lunatics destroy everything that my family has worked for since 1946. Many of you are in the same situation as I. We love our dogs, cats, horses, and would do anything for their health and well being. Those are givens. Animal welfare is one thing. I believe that most of us adhere to good practices that promote the health and well being of our animals.

ANIMAL RIGHTS is an entirely different platform and needs to be dealt with swiftly and forcefully!

We should not be subjected to punitive measures or forced to endure insults and interrogations because we have dogs and may breed the occasional litter, show, hunt, or track. I have found the people who are trying to eliminate the very element in our lives that we love and enjoy are very misguided, misinformed, and miserable.

Owning a dog and working with it and even promoting a good breeding programme is not a crime ! Responsible animal ownership and husbandry should be applauded and rewarded not punished.

How did all of this happen? How did these proposed bills and laws sneak in without us knowing? I can think of three ways.
First, while we were out showing, hunting, tracking, etc. our attentions were diverted to the situations and activities before us. We were focused on what we loved to do. Secondly, we were also busy backstabbing other dog/animal people in smear campaigns to make ourselves look good and others appear in a negative light. Three, we have stuck our heads in the sand and refused to believe that our freedoms could be taken away. Far too many times, I have heard "It isn't going to happen here". Well it has and it is and will continue to escalate in mammoth proportions unless we unite and work together to squelch this movement.

To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson's quote in the 1790's-

Any government that is strong enough to give you what you want is POWERFUL enough to take it all away.

This is what is happening here now. One by one our rights, our lives, our freedoms are being taken away. It is happening incrementally, but nonetheless it is happening.

Are we just going to watch it happen?

EVERYONE of us needs to go to the RPOA web site & find out when the HSUS Lobbyist Day is scheduled for their state.
Then, organize a HUGE group of people to descend on their state capitol to present the FACTS about HSUS & PETA. Many of these legislators hunt, fish, eat meat and own pets and livestock. They have NO idea about the actual agenda of HSUS & PETA.
RPOA will supply actual wordage y'all can use at your state capitols.

for another thing peta has reported in there annual report to the IRS that they spend so many dollars to defend those people that engage in terrorist acts regarding destroying animal use in labatories using animals that is just a small part of there agenda.
now IRS rules that anyone supporting terrorist shall not be tax exempt however year after year peta supports and spends money to defend and support these activities.

everyone should write there reps and ascertain why peta and such organizations still have there tax exempt status. by stopping this practice we can put a hurt on them as if there not tax exempt all donations to them would be stopped as far as tax writeoffs for the idiots that support them.

there is more than one way to skin a cat

RIGHT ON!
But how do we crack the tough IRS shell?
Wish we had a good mean attorney to give us info and support to present our case to the IRS and Legislators.
