Our Hunt Last Night 02/06/09

Well Me and LogRidgeKennels went out for a couple drops last night. The first drop wasn't much to brag about dogs didn't do to much. Second drop his Edge dog got treed with the meat. Did a good job on it too. About the time he got treed Zero & June had struck way down the hollow and we moving a good track. When we got back to the truck with Edge I heard them come treed. We took my truck in there and got the dogs and they had the meat as well. When we got back to the truck the local Deputy Sheriff came rolling up. When she got out of her car she ask what we wearing doing and I said smoking dope what you doing. She just laughed and said really I said we are really mining for coal how you like our lights. Naw one of my neighbors seen that Ole Virginia tag sitting there on the side of the road and the lady was by herself last night and got worried no big deal I told the Deputy to tell her it was just me and everything was ok. Here are a few pics for last nights hunt. Oh got to meet LogRidgeKennels cousin real nice young man. Said this was only his second hunt and he really liked it. Hope you enjoy the pics. To be honest with you Zero has not been hunted in but 5 cast since making NiteCh. He won four cast but never picked up a win. He has not been in a Comp. Hunt since March of 08 so kind of hard for me to finish him out if I don't put him in the hunts. I am trying to get my interest back in the hunts so I can try and finish him out this year. If I do I do if I don't then I know either way he is still a Coon Dog hands downs. The Titles are pretty on those papers and use to mean a lot to me but now. It really don't matter. But thanks for asking and I like the Roadblock dogs too if they are all like Zero. JMO!!!

Zero is a very nice hound the kind of hound I love walking behind if not he would not be at my kennel. I have always had blue dogs and english but he put a new light in my hunting plans. LOL!!! I still love my blue dogs don't get me wrong but Zero & June both are descent hounds and I don't have to be the one that tells you that the folk that hunt with me as well seem to like them. I really would like to finish Zero out this year since Roadblock is gone. I would like to make Zero my next Stud dog. Thanks for the post. Take care.

I haven't really made up my mind to hunt in the SETWA Hunt or not but I will be there on Sat. if nothing comes up. Just give me a call sometime Sat around Noon would love to meet you and see your Roadblock Female. Take care and God Bless
