I've fallen in love with Louisiana
Going to move down in September for good - to Breaux Brigde (southeast of Lafayette).
I have a chunk of land on the Atachafalaya River. There's a good deal of game between Sherborn and Indian Bayou WMAs. Probably a good place to take hogs... It would appear that the numbers are coming up. I've seen em when I've been just hiking (no camo, no dog, etc).
Most folks our way don't see hogs as game, Cajuns see them as bar-b-que.
Drop me a line, I'd like to see your Catahoula. Have you been to Catahoula, Louisiana? It's a pretty unique place. The local bar has a big sign outside that says, SAVE THE SWAMP, EAT MO GATOR!! - and, they're not being ironic.
