Submitting pictures for CB cover

I would like to submit some pictures for the magazine. But I am wondering what size does the picture actually have to be? They are in jpeg format, but is there a size preference of when I submit them from my photobucket account?

I`m not sure but I`d think a magazine would want either TIFF or RAW format uncompressed pictures.

So I don't want to use them from my photobucket account then?

I used one directly off the computer and it worked fine actually the cover of the wlker issue

I think it was Ladee Raven who told me that the online photo hosts (photobucket, hunt101, ect.) really cut down on the photo's quality/resolution.

I would e-mail them directly from your files on your computer, you get a much higher resolution.

All digital photos must be 600 dpi, all 'film' photos must be 8 X 10.

Kind of having the same difficulties too. Sending the pictures on my computer to Vicki. I'm having a very blonde day on the computer as to how to send them without using photobucket.

Cover photos can be sent as attachments. If you can avoid sending them through photobucket, this does allow for better resolution. All digital photos have to be at least 600 dpi and at least 5x7. 300 dpi is fine if the image file is large. The larger the file, the better. Jpegs are fine, as are tifs, but jpegs will typically attach easier as they are compressed a bit more.
