if given in the liquid form and given for 3 days strait it will get rid of round worms, hook worms, whip worms, tape worms but ONLY the type that dogs get from eating rodents, birds or any type of dead animals, but it DOES NOT treat the type of tape worm that dogs get from fleas. and the process should be repeated in 3 weeks for best results. the correct dose for dogs is 1cc per 4lbs of body weight of the liquid panacure(fenbendazole).

Actually per dose, the horse worming paste is about twice as expensive.

You can buy the 10% solution in smaller quantities. Look for Panacur goat wormer. Believe it's 125 CC bottle, less than 20 bucks. It will take a tube and a half of paste to do one dog for three days.....at 7 bucks a tube, you have 10 bucks in one treatment.

At 1 cc per 4 pounds, a 50 pound dog would get 12.5 cc, time three days = 37.5 CC....

For $20.00 you can worm the dog for three months....

Panacur will get the tapeworms that are hosted via the rabbit. NOT THE COMMON CANINE TAPEWORM.

Droncit or Droncit plus is the only wormer that I know of that will get all four types of tape worm. The active ingredient in Droncit is praziquantel.

I normally treat once a year for the other three types with Droncit, and once a month with panacur (safeguard)

this link has a pretty good chart of wormers and their intended target. You can then google the specific wormer for a correct doseage.

The Vet told me Safe-Guard 1cc Paste per 10# NOT to exceed 3cc No matter the weight of the Dog. 4 Days in a Row then Repeat in 10 Days.
