dont matter what size tire but as more coon find it you will have to fill more often.i use 15" car tires. only for getting my young dogs started. then i quit filling.

quote:Any size tire but it has to be on the wheel still. Take a utility knife and cut 2 x 3 square holes in. Fill it half way with corn and then dump water in the tire until you see the corn starting to float. Wait about 4-5 days and when that corn starts to spoil there will be coon on it. This only works good in the summer.

we use a 12-14 inch tire and then use a drill with one of them there hole cutter thingys that are 2" in Diameter. sometimes a knife. put corn in it but leave enough room to put water over it! if u dont u will have squirrel problems. and ifn u want them to have a little bit of a slow start...put yeast in there and cover it up for about a week then uncover it! HAHAHAHA!!!!

these are some I used years ago in South MS. Only thing easier is to just dig a hole close to a creek and poor the feed in. I'd use the hole method if hogs aren't a problem. Sour corn really draws them in. the worst it smells the better they like it.
