How would you handle this ?
A three dog cast goes to the woods, making several drops. After a short while it's evident that one of the hunters are very nieve to the rules. A tree is made with two dogs struck and treed. Time for tree to be scored, judge votes minus, one handler votes circle, and the third handler will not vote. He wants to let the moh decide the vote. Judge and other handler tells the man rules say he must vote, no exceptions. He refuses, and the judge scratches him. They didnt come right out and tell him he would be scratched if he didnt vote, they just told him rules state he has to vote. He goes back complaining that he shouldnt have been scratched. Was this the way any of you would have handled this, or would you have explained to him more ?

i would have told him he had to vote or else he would be scratched but isnt that on the yellow sheet the moh has to read aloud before you go to the woods

I would have put him in the truck then Jim and I would have kept on hunting
Not really! I would explain the rule clearly, ask again for a vote, and then if he refused ..SEE ABOVE!

what else can be said besides. give him a card with the rules on it. and tell him to lurn the rules for next time. im there to enjoy the hunt. if I win I win. but i'm not going to be a pr***.

i always try to explain the rules if somebody doesn't understand. i would have told him you must be scratched if you don't vote. then if he still refused i would scratch him very quickly and go on with the cast.
