Its cold but Im still going
Its supposed to be 11 her today. I am getting cabin fever I need to get out, and run these dogs. I told two kids a week ago, that I would take them coon hunting over break. They had asked a week ago if we could go tonight I told them yes. They still want to go even though I told them it would be cold. How can I dissapoint them. They have been looking forward to it for a week. (Good excuse for me to go HUH)
Temperatures are supposed to moderate quite a bit with highs in the 40s on Saturday.
I would wait and take the kids then. You want kids to have fun.

Ill probably have to take them again this weekend. I told them we would probably not do any good but they still wanted to go. It actually warmed up a little higher than they thought today . Its almost 18
it was a high of -4 today, we also have 18 inches of snow on the ground and are talking 5 more tonight and another storm tomorow night, with about that much my hunting is done for the winter
I'VE HUNTED WHEN IT WAS COLD LIKE THIS,DIDN'T DO MUCH GOOD BUT MY BOY HAD FUN IN THE SNOW WITH THE ANIMAL TRACKS AND SUCH.

I should have stayed home. We treed one den and one on the outside and it hung up when we shot it. To make matters worse the next tree I was walking to the dogs and fell through the ice and went waist deep in the water. Wow. That was cold, 10 degrees and by the time I got to truck I was moving very slow and coveralls were frozen.
