What do the latters mean on the certificate and what if thay are the same like her is my female CC,II,AA,DD,EE,HH,CC,BC,HH,AG.what does it mean.

Pete,

The letters make up the unique genotype for that one dog. I dont know that anyone has been able to determine what each grouping represents as far as traits, but I have to say that is the first time I have ever seen that many double letters in one dog. What is the breeding of this female?

I have yet to have a dog DNA'd, plan on it in the near future , but havnt yet. But being fimilar with basic genitics , i have to ask the same question as the last poster.

Capitial letters usually signify Dominate genes,and lower case letters are for recessive genes. So my question to you would be are all the letters in this dogs sequence Capital letters?

And if so ... i too would like to see the pedigree on this dog.

doubel letters mean that part is after the male dog and if not doubel letters it means that part is after the female.but ask oak ridge he knows better than me

Same here...I have several {8} DNA'd. All capital letters & I think the most sets of double letters in any of them is 4.

That is a lot of double letters you got there...

ALL THE LETTERS WILL BE CAPITOL LETTERS. IN EACH PAIR , 1 COMES FROM THE FATHER THE OTHER COMES FROM THE MOTHER. IF YOU HAVE DOUBLE LETTERS IT SHOWS THEY GOT THE SAME TRAIT FROM MOTHER AND FATHER. THE MORE DOUBLE LETTERS THE BETTER CHANCE OF PASSING THAT TRAIT ON TO ITS PUPS. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THEY DONT KNOW WHAT TRAITS THE LETTERS STAND FOR.

No one knows what any of the letters mean,other than than can tell the parentage with them.

I call her Jasmine her father is P.A. Junior who is out Kansas JR and Dual GR. Hard Hittin Hannah and Dam is Gems Last Jewell who is out of Dual GR. Black Warrior Heartattack Jack and GRNT Bauers Kansas Gem ,Duane Jones has litter mate.

From what i got from reading Oak ridges post....the only thing it means is in that group, whichever it might be, example II , your pup can only pass that I trait on to its pup... if it were Ih it could possibly pass on I or h....other than that it means nothing, at least i think that is what i was told...Due to the fact that nobody knows what each set is for , as far as traits...
