Great Job !!!!!!!!!

Brent
You did a fine job of treeing your first Solo lion. Just you and your two young Light Foot hounds Robin and Twister. This was also the 1st Lion for them solo.

Congratulations Brent. The dogs are looking great.
Doing it all on your own definately isn't the easiest way. But you will learn some valuable lessons along the way, that are hard to learn if you are always relying on someone elses experience to make the right decisions. When you have to make all the decisions on what to do, and what not to do, on your own. You will learn even more from your success and your mistakes, on your way to becoming a more experienced hunter and houndsman. Good luck on your future hunts. You're well on your way.

Thanks

Jess .. I have been out with the young dogs, but snow conditions are not very good in my area there is alot of ice and heavy crusted snow.. I must say the hounds are very eager to run, but tracks are very hard to find.. Cat season should be open until the end of Feb with some fresh snow cover we should have success.. Thanks to all for the kind words. This is my first season of cat hunting and it was special moment seeing those Lightfoots catch their first cat.. I also have to say a special thanks to Brian, he has been a great mentor and friend helping me get the best out of my pups.. I'm looking forward to field trials with Dustin and Brain in the off season...... Brent

Brent

It's much easier to produce good hounds than to find good hunters to hunt them. Brian, Dustin and I appreciate your enthusiasm and eagerness to hunt Robin and Twister more than you know.
Our goal is not to just tree more game with the best hounds that we have today, But to breed a better quality of hound for tomorrow. The three of us could only accomplish so much IF we were working alone. We are fortunate to have a great group of Honest and Honorable hunters hunting Light Foot hounds in Different countries, Different Provences and Different states. Light Foot hounds are currently being hunted and tested from Alberta to Texas, from Nova Scotia to Mississippi and many places in between. The feed back that we get from having litter mates hunted from the God awful hills and thickets of W.Virgina to the dry ground hunting and heat of Oklahoma to the tidal swamps and twisted brush of coastal Washington has proved a valuable tool when it comes to understanding the qualities that we already have worked out and what qualities we need to improve. It's the quality of people who hunt the Light Foot hounds that allow us to advance the bloodline at a faster rate than we could ever do alone. I do my best to tell each and everyone of you how much I appreciate your efforts. If you are hunting a Light Foot hound and we have not spoken Please call me, At the very least I would like to say Thank You.
