Another one out of commission for a while.

Well, another one on the injured list. Always heard bad things came in three's, guess that's right!

Two nights ago we discovered our girl Magic in a pen with her pal Gunner. They are real tight, and if there is a way to get in together they will find it!

So, fixed the fence which had come loose just enough for her to wiggle under, and put them back where they belong.

Andrew went out last night to hunt and found her in there again. Have no idea how she managed it this time, fence was still fine and the runs are covered with a metal roof so no jumping. We have NO idea how it happened.

Anyways, he comes inside with her around midnight with an ugly deep gash in her check and a limp on her hind right leg.

Doesn't look to serious, just some time and attention and we should be fine. No break, seems like a pulled muscle or tendon. She's 1 win from GRCH and just started Comp. hunting. Have the last show of the year tomorrow, guess she won't make it though.

Dang it!

Glad sh'es not hurt worse than she is and hope she heals up very fast.

I was looking over your website, AGAIN, and thought it sure was ashame they were brother and sister!

We are looking now for a nice stud to breed her to next fall, want to be careful and do TONS of research to find that perfect match. She's never been bred, and we don't want just any pups.

Just turned in her AKC papers by the way, didn't want to rule out any AKC water races... I here somebody in west TN attends a few of those!

We've got big plans for our Magic, and THIS was not part of the plan!

Magic is not related to your little girl. Magic and your girls mother September favored a good deal though. They both have that nice dark coloring, long ears, and feminine build. September was larger than Magic though, much taller with longer legs.

WELL, I HOPE SHE HAS A FAST RECOVERY. IF SHE ACTS AS MUCH LIKE TRACKER AS SHE LOOKS, THEN IT'S GONNA BE HARD TO KEEP HER QUIET & CALM FOR MUCH LONGER THAN A DAY OR TWO...GOOD LUCK ON THAT...LOL...

I tell you, I either love the dog or absolutely hate her!! She's my husband's baby, and the first dog that he's ever been REALLY attached to. He loves all his dogs, but she has a special place in his heart.

You're right! She came in all calm (totally not her!) and pitiful. She was like that inside. Then I put her in the back yard. Within 10 minutes she was leaping up and down off the deck, bawling her head off, and trying to scratch a hole through the glass door!

Gunner's one win from GRCH. Magic just started comp. hunting so Drew's about to push her, but we may put him in some next fall. He's nice in the woods, just not as fast as Magic. Really easy to handle, and sooo sweet! Our 3 yr. old just recently claimed him as her "Gunna" and has shown him in two kids bench shows. With some help of coarse!
He actually has a full sister on the english sales page for sale right now. She's not a littermate, but same exact cross made a year later. I don't know the owners personally, but boy does that girl look like her brother!

Yep, he hunts. He's an incredible jumper! I've never seen a dog go so high from a stand still. Thankfully, he's not a climber like our walker girl Envy.

I think we'll be able to title him in the woods, he just doesn't have as much speed as Magic does. I mean, he isn't slow and has no problem working a track. But Magic is just incredibly fast, and she's been worked in the woods longer and has more experience. Andrew is hoping to hit the woods with Magic hard for the spring hunts, and then breed her in the fall and hunt Gunner. We've got two other juniors he's working with also.

Thats really cool, apparently our dogs were littermates.
Ours isnt a jumper though, actually just the opposite, he will put his front feet on the tailgate and wait for us to pick up the other end LOL. And when he trees he just props up and trees. Dosent move much. Sometimes we wish he had a little more "spring" in his butt lol.

And its too funny that your male's BUDDY is a Redbone female, cause our male has a Walker female that is "HIS WOMAN" LOL.
In fact i still have 4 of thier pups >gggrrrr<.

That was my first fear several months ago when they first did this. But she's luckily never been in heat when they decide to bunk together!

When she does come in, we move her to a pen apart from the others. Her "isolation chamber." LOL.
