Owen dog box question
I am looking at buying the owen dog box with the bottom storage. Other than the dog compartments being an inch shorter, can anyone tell me any other disadvantages you have found on this box versus the box with the top storage?
I had one and I felt like I was always fighting the drawer to get it to pull out. Just doesnt operate like it should.
I wont own another one.
Just me.
Got a new one with bottom storage at AO this year...it is the cadilac of dog boxes...now if I just had a dog worth as much as the box I would be in business
Top Storage
I'm using the one with TOP STORAGE & I LOVE it!

Ive had three bottom storage boxes. The bottoms kept falling apart on me. But my box stays in my truck all the time. They were always good to work with on them though. Gave me a new one everytime. Loved the box otherwise. Now I have the owens top storage, no trouble at all with it.
I have the bottom storage box and wouldn't have anything else.
In a full size truck the top storage is to high to reach everything you may have in it. I have a mat under mine to lift the box just enough to give me clearance for the tailgate. I've had the box 4
years with no problems.
Never owned a bottom storage.......Never will cause water will eventually always find the lowest point.
Owens
I have a bottom storage nicest box I've ever owned. No trouble with the draw leaking or breaking . It works just like the day I bought it. I would recommend this box to anyone?
thanks for all the replies....they have all been helpful...anyone have an opinion on the four season boxes with the big vents vs the standard 7x10 inch vents? i live in SE texas where it is hot 9-10 months out of the year. just didnt know if when you do want it to stay warmer in the box if the vent covers they provide really do the job of keeping the cold and rain out.
Mine is PERFECT for TEXAS HEAT
I have the top storage box with the roof that almost resembles a dog house.
The BIG advantages to this box are:
The side vent covers are removable, leaving "bars" instead of just vent holes on the side for wide open air circulation.
The back vent covers are removable.
The front door vent covers are removable, also leaving "bars" instead of just vent holes.
So the box is cool in the summer & can be cozy in cold or wet weather when needed.
I can give you the contact for a local Texas Dealer (I'm showing his dogs) if you PM or email me.
