? for Ky. Houndsman
I was wondering if Ky. Houndsman is going to try to get Bear hunting with hounds in Ky.
We are headed for a season for stump hunters to kill bear next year. I think the date is around Dec. 20/09. No dogs or bait.
Unless things change the hound hunters are going to be pushed aside.
The fish and wildlife people say the bear need to learn to fear people. I can't see where setting in a tree or blind beside a dumpster, shooting them with a rifle is going to make a bear anything but dead.
I live in east KY. and we are probably approatching a huntable populating. I have a dog that if I hunt in a certain area he will find a bear about half the time.
