Wind and Locating

A couple of times in the last year when it is dry and the wind was blowing 25 or 30 mph I've seen the dogs miss the coon 50 or 60 foot. I'm not talking once but two or three times in a night. All the trees were feed trees. Has anyone else ever seen this happen?

Yes , a couple of different times this fall but the best was dogs were treed on top of a large hill staight up wind in the top of a tree about eye level out sat a big old boar about 50 yards from the dogs, when we first got to the dogs thought they were treed at the topof the hill but didn't take long to realize they were both facing away from the tree into the wind.
