Pictures of 2008 hides

The weather hasnt fully cooperated this year for our hide season so ive decided to sell my hides tomorrow. I take mine out of the freezer 2 days before i sell and keep the garage about 45 or 50 degrees and slowly let them thaw. This has worked good for me i know fur buyers here are picky on there noses drying out real bad so we dont like to hang them no longer than we have to. I have 40 hides to take in tomorrow not planning on gettin rich but maybe some extra xmas money

Its no surprise prices are crap right now with the economy in the shape its in. I sold 41 coon 5 mink and 5 muskrat and it paid 265.00 the coons averaged a little over 5.00 a piece and i had 10 or 12 jumbo xxxl coon that brought 12.00 ea.

THAT JUST DONT ADD UP. If you had 41 coon . and you got 5.00 a piece for 31 of them thats 155.00$$ and 10 that brought 12 a piece thats 120.00 thats 275.00 right there not includeing the 5 mink and 5 muskrat!!!! hummmmmm?

My mistake i just looked at my sheet from the buyer 4 of the xxxl coon only brought a few dollars i didnt see that on the sheet at the bottom. Regardless prices certainly arent what they have been before what are they payin everywhere else

that is good price for not fleshed coon "green" 5 dollars each is what you WILL get out of them. nice price for the XXXL coons. i got about 3 dollars out of some that i got off of a friend of mine and they were Flesh Burnt, and some were halfway rotten i thought because they had a foul odor. if coons are dogged hard with holes in the back or has holes in the back for anyreason whatsoever, then that is when you get "deducted" did he put the numbers on it? like "IV, V, I, II, III" or "LOW"

might wanna think about hangin on to fur until later in the year....China will Rebound and Faster than we will for sure its already bein seen....fur buyer that has tyes to china (a man over seas) is buyin today with 17$ tops ( yes , green) and hes cleanin up.

support your state auctions they might even have up to 20 buyers onsite biddin and run at the end of the year..

I quite sellin out to the first local with cash an attitude.....middle men.

ya shop around for coons, lights, dogs, and cash out on your locale middle man...Not anymore...shop around and work the phones.

I sold 26 coon and had a $10 average..the coon that i got 5 dollars for were the small fuzzy ones.....$20 tops and these coon were green.

I got this one locale buyer tellin folks he'll pay 6-8$ for a whole coon and you dont have to skin it ....ooohhh....hes also an Obama supporter.
