astro question(s)

1) how exactly does the tree switch work on a dc 30 collar??? I am constantly getting tree switches on a dog that I have walking around my feet, but not even looking up really.....

2) how can I take a gps track and make it into a perminant road on my astro as well as in mapsource?

thanks~!

I am not positive but I believe if the dog stands in the same place for 1 minute it shows treed. This is fine with me because it lets me know if my dog is eating on a dead carcass or digging in a hole. If it shows treed and the dog ain't barking, I'm going to him fast with a switch ready to warm him up.

I have heard it works with the altimeter. I dont think it has anything to do with time because it show your dog sitting as well .If the dog is standing still it shows sitting. If the altimeter is a certain distance above ground level it is treeing.

Garmin

Mine does the same thing when the dog is in the box. It don't bother me tho I know when I here it beep the dog is either treed or stopped moving. I haven't found a whole lot awrong with these things so far there perfect as far as I'm concerned.
