I have heard that one click per 50 lbs is right. It is your call. If you don't know what one click means then stay away from doing it this way. My hound weighs 65 lbs so I do two clicks and have no problems. Your hound may be different, it is your responsibility since this stuff is not packaged or dosed for use on dogs. There's a lot of opinions and views on this plus lots of firsthand experience so I feel confident that I am taking care of mine reasonably. Maybe others want to rehash this but there's lots of threads past and current on it.

I got this right off the websites for both Zimecterin Gold and HeartGuardPlus. You can look it up yourself very easily.
Zim is 1.55 % ivermecterin. According to the Zim site, that is a doseage of 91mcg per pound. According to Heartguards site, a HeartGuard dose for a 50-100 pond dog is 272mcg. Now if you go one click (50 pounds) on the Zim, that is a 4550 mcg dose you are giving your 50-100 pound dog instead of the 272 mcg dose they are suppose to get.
I would not use Zimecterin Gold or any horse wormer on a dog.

Zimectrin Gold can be used safely on a dog. In fact my vet is the one who recommended it to me as a way to save money versus buying the higher priced dog wormers. I dont use it for the Ivermectin though, I use it because it contains Praziquantel which is for the flea type of tapeworm which is common in dogs. I give liquid Ivomec as a monthly heartworm preventitive when I dont give them the Zimectrin.
