Whats the best home remedy for Ring worm?

I have a male pup with ring worm on his left hip. Does anyone know the long term affects of this? And how can I get rid of it. Thanks

Rinse daily with iodine or betadine. Keep the dog in as dry of area as possible. Ringworm is a fungus, so iodine will take care of your problem in about a week. Be careful to not get the ringworm on you.

Squeeze the juice out of walnut hulls. It is good for a home remedy for ear mites also.

any kind of cream for yeast infections or athlete's foot, or iodine, but what i've found best is to dab on bleach. That was DAB on, not POUR on, not SOAK, just dab a small amount on with a cotton ball.

Ringworms

My daughter shows lambs so we deal with alot of ringworms. We use the lubricant called Fluid Film. It comes in a spray can and last a long time. But, most important it works. Just scrape them and spray it daily for 4 or 5 days.

Iodine seems to have worked best for us and the Bleach idea is a good one too. Either will dry it up in a couple of days. Get it before it gets too bad and hope for a cold snap this winter to kill in the ground as well.

Ringworm Remedy

Iodine is the most effective. There is also a clear liquid for horses call Fungisan. If the dogs have it in more than one place & seem to be breaking out with it, you can bathe them in Iodine Horse shampoo. This also helps skin irritated by fleas. But you need to use Iodine too, even though you've bathed them.
