Anyone ever hear or had this happen them?
Last night about 3 am, I was woke up to a popping feeling in my side and then a crack. I junped out of bed screaming in pain. It was intense, like a white hot poker. I had been having trouble with my left side for about a month and last night I was laying on that side and it just did this. I took about 4 tylenol and tried to go back to sleep, by this morning I couldn't even breathe right, it hurt so bad. The neighbor lady took me to the hospital and they did blood work and X-rays and told me I had a cracked rib and torn muscle. The only thing I can could up with was about a month ago, I run into an open truck door and ever since, my side hurt. The doctor thinks it may have been a hairline fracture then and last night it just cracked worse. Sunday evening I helped get the stretcher out of the ambulance and really hurt my side again, I pulled something. I'm to take it easy, take davocet and lay on a heating pad for a few days. He said if it snaps off, it could punture my lung.
Anyone ever heard of such a thing? And I also want to say MORPHINR is a God send, got that shot and in 15 seconds I could breathe normal, bad thing is, is only lasts about 2 hrs.

Yeah, breathing is something I wish I could turn off at the moment. As long as the pain meds. are working and I'm on the heating pad, I can do an ok job of it. Without either of those, forget, I'm looking into living without breathing. Any ideas how to do that?
