Jeff Farthing hospitalized with ruptured appendix

I talked to Christina tonight and was stressed to learn that Jeff's illness over the past several days...almost a week...has ended with Jeff being operated on tonight for a ruptured appendix.

She had Jeff in the emergency room Tuesday or Wednesday of last week with stomach pain. He was sent home and apparently has suffered these last several days not realizing it was his appendix. He had barely been out of bed.

The doctor said they couldn't believe he was in as good of shape as he is. They estimated the appendix had ruptured maybe 2 or 3 days ago. They did their best to clean out the infection and he is expected to stay in the hospital in Richmond, KY at least through Wednesday.

I know Jeff and Christina would appreciate a few prayers. It sounds like Jeff has been through quite an ordeal and it's not over yet.

Jeff is so fortunate to have been in such GOOD shape before this.... I know that it can be terribly painful. Bob lost his appendix in a similar fashion many moons ago and bears the scar....
