South Texas deer hunting

There are 4 of us going to Zapata,Tx next month to deer hunt. Has anyone else been to South Texas to deer hunt and what was your experience

if you dont hunt high fence i would say you are going the rong way

if you bow hunt shoot low they done been shot at so much they will literally lay down when they hear that twang

Was raised in Texas.The best place to deer hunt is in LLano.That is the deer capitol of Texas.If you like bar-b-que it has four of the five five star bar-b-que resturants in the state.San Saba, Lake Buchanan,
Lone Grove,Cherokee.All GOOD huntin.Have a blast be safe and have fun.

Dusty, I hunted in San Saba one time. there where deer every where. I never got to see a big one though. You could see for a long ways. Small Bush trees and stuff. We hunted out of shooting houses.
