Daniels Duke

Does any one have any dogs of DANIELS DUKE, He won the World Hunt in '98. Also does anyone have any dogs from Terry Daniels line, I had an old timer (over 80) tell me Daniels has real nice dogs.

my dogs go back to terry's dogs... by way of willie and sweet thing..they were both out of old Dot..my DanIII dog is daniel bred top and bottom..cry baby was a grandaughter of willie and DanI was a son of old hickory nut harry and GrchNitech Daniels Sweething.. they were well balanced hounds..and very good reproducers too...

I owned one sired by Duke and my buddy owns her now.She is one nice dog.Another friend of mine,Bill Betts owns her littermate brother.Charlie Bidwell,handled Duke,said Paul Harvey(Bills dog) is a dandy too.Not many direct pups from Duke as he had breeding problems.If I remember correctly,he had a hernia problem that made it where he couldn't naturally breed.Not sure if Terry got him collected or not,I think I remember it being said that he didn't.Archie Dore got some of the Duke blood also at one time.

the way i remember he had poor response in the hunting books for breeding which is a shame everybody just wants those all grand pedigree i remember reading a article years ago about the line of dogs pls correct me if i`m wrong

Terry withdrew Duke from stud

After Duke won the World, he got all kind of jealousy calls. Terry is a common stand up guy. He felt like it just wasn't worth all the bad mouthing he was getting. He ran a full page ad stating that Duke was not for public stud. Therefore he didn't get utilized like he should have.
