By 7:00 i will be standing between a corn field and the woods with my son, looking at the stars and listening to the dogs. Just doesnt get any better than that. But i admit part of my mind will be on where this country is going and wondering if this sport i love will be around for my Grandchildren.

They are calling for bad storms to move in after midnight tonight. High winds,lighting, heavy rainfall and even hail. So we are leaving a little earlier the usual....lol

treed one and couldnt find it... Oak tree still got plenty leaves... and he got stuck on a ledge on a rock wall and he jumped off... i knwo i watched him...

8 year old female

made 3 drops ended up with coyotes on us on the 1st, a hole in the creekbank on the 2nd, and mr. rickey on the riverbank on the 3rd. made the 1st drop at 7 and back home by 10... not bad!

Cut Pride loose alone and he treed 4 up one tree.Next drop I turned Boone loose he got deep and treed slick.. Hmmmmm I treed two sitting in a fence row waitin on Boone to strike. next drop I turned Boone and Pride together they got deep struck and worked up the track and came treed on a den.

We went last night made 2 tree's and i lost my female on 3rd drop. i'm about to go and find her. i hate comming home without my dog, i could'nt sleep all last night. hopefully i'll find her.

made 2 drops last night mississippi swamp treed on a huge sypruss den tree and treed in a cedar tree. Couldnt find the coon in either one. It wasnt the lack of trying though.

Hey, Ice... the dogs are treed right now..have been all AM on and off... the BnT finally winded up HIGH enough with his big nose that Bob decided to look up in the maple hanging over the dog pen...LOL... one of the coons that's been calling our hayloft home is up there... I took a billion pix... HA HA... can't take the hunt out of a retired bluedawg... and generations of showdog breeding in the AKC BnTs didn't take away the NOSE!

Kinda ruff when you "cut the hounds loose" in the dog pen and... there is that coon that's been driving Wyatt nuts daily.... this is the third coon we've seen in a tree since the 70s... It's a BIG deal here......

Glad you're back home and hope your hunting goes well!
