Hey Sheep, I had 2 pups directly out of Bum, one was out of Bum and Joey...Both of them started early and had real nice, loud mouths. Both treed their own wild coon around 6 months old. Lost one in a tornado (kennel blew down, never saw him again (7 months old), the other lost while hunting, 11 months old). The 11 month old (Bum x Joey) was a turning into a real fine hound. Only problem I had with the Bum pup was it could run a deer like a cheetah!!LOL! Till I put the electricity to him! Other than that, I had no problem with either of them.
Also had 2 Diamond Jim pups, neither would leave my feet, even when they got to be around a year old.. Heard one of them eventually turned into an alright hound.
Hope this helps.

Smokey7, for a man not to own walkers and get on this board and tell everyone how mean, and how they slick tree, and how they can catch deer. And to be a bluetick man and not have any Idea about what the Blueticks you mentioned does, or dose'nt do is beyond me. they tell me all the blueticks that come from Texas chase cows, and tree on every catcus plant they come to, and are alligators of alligators with a double set of fangs.
Just what I heard, what do you think???

I don't own walkers but I've been hunting with lots of them. I mean plenty. You don't have to own a dog in order to watch what it does and see what kind of dog it is. Do you not understand that? That's what I'm asking, first hand accounts. I'm just a curious type person and I like to gather information such as that about these dogs. Whats wrong with that?

Blueticks don't really have "faults". There just troubled and misunderstood.
