The spot will swell up, and the dog will just kind of lay around, maybe throw up some, or wobble. Give Benadril

One of our Jacks acts a lil like that now.. I don't see any marks where she was bitten, but she has a tender spot on her side. The mrs is freaking out....(typical of her)

the act like....
they are car sick (drooling)... the area where they got bit will swell up pretty quick and if you pull the hair back u can see two red marks....
CAUTION!!!!!! REMEMBER TO WEAR RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU PULL THE HAIR BACK TO LOOK FOR A WOUND..........
one night we had a little walker female get bit..... we turned loose in the edge of 'the swamp' (backwater), dogs struck & a few minutes later , heard the female SQUALLLL out, they kept trailing and it wasn't long & she quit and came in.... she was limping pretty good (I thought she stepped on something and had it stuck in her foot).... we mashed around on her foot & looked & looked but didn't see anything...... w/in 5 minutes she was drooling & I noticed her shoulder was swelling....
anyway we started rubbing her shoulder and didn't feel anything, I happened to pull the hair back and could plainly see 2 fang marks and yellowish/clear junk was coming out of the bite......
if u don't have rubber gloves use leather gloves...... I wasn't wearing gloves when I was messing with the female and I could have easily gotten injected with snake juice if I'd had a cut on my hand (I was lucky that I didn't have any cuts).....

i agree with all thats been said....except for leather gloves.....
IE: as a kid there was a truckin lines company right next to my granparents house . there man who took care of the flats had a pair of leather gloves on and was running it around side the tire to find if anything was stickin thru.... he did....... a snake fang,, and it pierced the glove.....long story short..... he got sick,,,,, hospital trip...... got well........back to work... shortly after,,,,,weeks maybe...... used the same pair of gloves and got sick agin........ the venom stayed in the glove and entered thru a cut...... the glove was tested and the snake venom was still present......
so if ya use leather gloves be sure no cuts on ya hands and dispose of them immediately..........
